OUR STORY
Back in her day, Myrna was a porch swingin’, frozen drink sippin’, Cajun food cookin’ kind of gal. So when her father “mysteriously” disappeared gator hunting one day, Myrna took over the family’s business: a gas station that often served plate lunches. Over the years, the food got spicier and the drinks got stronger and business was booming. What was once a small-town Louisiana legacy is now an east side drinkery that serves up the best Cajun food west of the Mississippi.
So, how did we come to know Myrna and her gas station? While cleaning out my grandfather’s shed one hot, Louisiana summer, I stumbled upon a vintage gas station sign that I wanted to know more about. After a few drinks and a series of conversations that had both no beginning and no end, the story began to take shape. We decided that Myrna’s legacy needed to be carried on, so we brought her to Austin to continue her story.
Myrna, the legend, and her pet gator, Pearl, now reside on the east side, bringing you an authentic taste of Louisiana.
